Camping Rules at the Miami County Fair


CURFEW IN CAMPGROUNDS IS 12:00 MIDNIGHT
AT LEAST ONE ADULT MUST STAY IN EACH CAMPER AT NIGHT

 
*2019 Changes - Please note the following changes in effect for the 2019 Fair...
  • All campers must be backed in to aid in removal in event of fire or other emergency.
  • Electricity will be available/turned on at electric boxes at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019.
  • Campers may be removed on Friday, August 16, 2019 UNLESS prior written permission (early release form) has been received from camping chairperson Terry Bennett or President/Fair Manager, Nick Shellenberger.
  • Dump station will be available for use FRIDAY, August 16th at 8:00 a.m.
  • No extra waste containers/blue belly containers permitted.
  • Campers must leave 36" of space between camper and electric boxes. Electric boxes must be accessible with the door open. 

1. Campers and Concessionaire Camping permit fee is $200 per campsite. Camping permit fees cover time period Thursday, August 8th thru Thursday, August 15th, 2019. Campers may be brought to the fairgrounds beginning Tuesday, August 6th, 2019.
2. A nonrefundable $200 payment must be received on or before May 1, 2019 to reserve your campsite for the 2019 fair. Camping committee has the right to fill this spot for the 2019 fair, if nonrefundable deposit is not received on or before May 1, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
3. All trailers, campers, trucks or other vehicles used for living purposes during the Miami County Fair must be parked in designated areas only. All camping sites will be numbered.
4. The first and last names of all occupants staying in the sleeping vehicles, camper, trailers, truck or etc, must be listed on the application. Person signing the application will be responsible for the names that appear on the application. If any camper is asked to leave the fairgrounds for violation of camping rules then all the people on the camper list will be subject to the same. They will forfeit their campsite for following fair.
5. Slide outs and awnings are allowed but when extended must fit inside your campsite.
6. Electric hook-ups are to be proper receptacles only and only one extension cord per camping unit. Use UL approved heavy-duty extensions.
7. All premises around camping units are to be kept clean and sanitary. Trash to be placed in barrel containers and no dumping of any holding tanks will be permitted. No throwing of trash in manure dumpsters.
8. No vehicles permitted to park in camping area except to unload or load.
9. No continuous water hook up allowed.
10. No open fires permitted.
11. Alcoholic beverages allowed in designated areas only.
12. No dogs, cats, or other animals are permitted in the camping area.
13. All general rules in fairbook will be enforced in camping area.
14. Anyone on the camping list must camp in the horse arena camping area for one (1) year before asking to be put on the list to be relocated.
